By downloading, installing, or using Paid ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Paid is a bill-splitting application that helps users manage shared expenses, track payments, and send reminders to participants. The App is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Paid
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Create false or misleading session information
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within Paid, including session details and player information. By using our service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process this data solely to provide the service.

6. Payment Disclaimer

Important: Paid is a tracking and reminder tool only. We do not process actual payments or transfer money between users. Users are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying payment completion through their own banking channels
  • Resolving any disputes regarding payments directly with other users
  • Ensuring the accuracy of payment information shared outside the App

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Accuracy or reliability of any information

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paid and its developers shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Any disputes between users regarding payments or expenses
  • Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paid and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
  • You may delete your account at any time through the App settings
  • Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or appropriate legal channels.
